Reimagining Education for the Future We Seek: Africa and the World in Dialogue
From 5-7 July 2024, over 1000 educators from all education sectors in Ghana and educators from 14 additional countries across four continents participated in this powerful convening.
Five keynote speakers of international renown, ten thought leaders with subject-specific expertise and nearly 100 additional exemplary educational practitioners shared wisdom, insights and strategies through talks and interactive workshops in support of the five conference strands:
Student and Educator Wellness
Preparing Students to be Powerful Learners
Technology in Education
Leadership for the Future
Education and the World of Work
The summit was immediately followed by a one-day International Leadership Masterclass on the theme “Implementing Successful School and Systems Transformation: Explore and Leading 21st Century Schools” especially for Prioritised Schools identified by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ghana Education Service (GES).
The buzz on social media was electric! Our @ASCDGhana channels on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook were buzzing with excitement as educators from different corners of the world shared their anticipation and later, their reflections on the summit. The hashtags #IES2024 and #EducatorsUnite trended as attendees posted insights, favorite moments, and snapshots of the event. This digital engagement not only amplified our reach but also fostered a sense of global community.
